He's Here!

Well, he's actually been here for a month now! Noah Jack Smith, was born on September 24, 2011. We've been so busy enjoying our time with him that I haven't even thought about posting.

He had an amazing, successful birth AT HOME, which I will share more about in a separate post. He is healthy and strong and growing like crazy! I can't believe how much he has changed in just these few short weeks. We were tossing around names a few days before he was born, but the moment we saw him, Brent and I said he looked like a 'Noah'.
People always say that life is never the same after kids, and I never realized how true that statement was. In an amazing way of course. I love him more than I ever express and there is nothing more amazing than staring into your child's eyes and listening to all there little noises. I still find myself just looking at him while he sleeps. Life is perfect with our precious little boy. We are enjoying our time with Noah, and loving every adorable minute with him!

This picture was taken right after he was born. We were both exhausted, but I could not sleep. I just wanted to stare at him all night.

He looked so small in Brent's arms. Only 7 pounds! I was expecting at least an 8- 1/2 pounder given the size of Brent and all his brothers as babies. They were all around 9 pounds. Ouch!

Only a day old and fast asleep in bed. It was so nice to be at home, in my own bed, with my own things. We were so blessed to have my parents in town when Noah was born. Again, I'll share his birth story separately, but I was so thankful that my parents were here. They waited on us hand and foot. I don't think I even left my bedroom the first 2 days after he was born. My amazing mom and dad prepared all our meals and did all of our cleaning! At times they even fed me my food when I was taking care of little Noah, haha. Thank you mom and dad. I am so grateful to have such amazing and loving parents. We can't wait to come and visit you in a few weeks! We miss you so much!!

Life is amazing and we really feel blessed to have such a healthy, amazing and beautiful little boy!

Much more to come soon. We love and miss you all!
