You can purchase the bassinet separately and as absolutely precious and it was, I just didn't feel like it would be practical. As soon as we got it home we tore open the box and put it all together. As we were building it, Jagger seemed to be getting a little nervous. I think all the moving parts and smells of rubber wheels was too much. We decided that we would take it for a practice stroll with the dog and see how he would handle it.***SO SMART***
Although I did feel kind of goofy walking around our usual trail with an empty stroller, I'm so glad that we practiced. At first Jagger was walking really far away, almost pulling me to the side. All I could do was laugh, thinking of Johnny Knoxville doing something similar down a busy city street and letting the dog take off tied to stroller and watching people react (I did not tie Jagger to the stroller, FYI). The wheels obviously made Jagger a bit nervous, but after just a few minutes it was like he'd been around the thing for years. If you have a dog and are planning for your first baby, I would totally recommend practicing your walk with your stroller. You never really know how your pup is going to react to the change at first, and if I were a new mommy going on my first walk with a start like that, I'd feel pretty stressed. No worries now, me and Jagger both have it down.
More to come! Love you all.
Kate
